Where Great Ideas are Born and the Voices of Youth are Heard
“Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people.” -Eleanor Roosevelt

These are exciting times in education. The high illiteracy rate that now permeate the city; the high dropout rate; the appointment of a powerful emergency financial manager over DPS, and the election of a largely powerless Detroit Public School Board; all signal the truth that the old education paradigm, rooted in politics, personalities, backroom dealings and corruption, has passed away!
The voices of those who speak on behalf of maintaining an outdated system (citing that it still has merit) are mere echoes from the past--voices whose minds have taken leave of reality -- Personalities that refuse to participate in the natural drama of human mental evolution. They recoil at the thought that their system can no longer serve the needs of humanity. Their minds insist that if horse and buggy were good enough for their grandparents, they should be good enough for the great grandchildren. Their presence is merely a shadow of an educational system long passed away and must now take its rightful place in history.
The fact is, whether one subscribes to public, private, charter, or religious education, the current presumptions of education has flat-lined and are no longer able to address a 21st century mind that can absorb and organize more data in one day, than the current system can deliver in a month.
Indeed American education model has flat-lined and must be replaced. We begin our rebuilding in the place where this author was born -- Detroit, Michigan. We hope to be your one-stop source for news, information and cutting-edge research, heralding the emergence of a new educational system -- especially designed for the needs of the NEXT DETROIT.
As a new, robust paradigm emerges, we endeavour to keep you informed, and solicit from YOU, the real school board, ideas and policies that will help in the birthing of a new mind. Make yourself at home here and freely use the resources. There is no charge to use this service. We simply ask that you be respectful to others who participate on this forum.
